Kindergarten students made shape Halloween kitty cats out of paper and construction paper crayons!

 The students first made a watercolor background, then added pattern to a teepee, and finally added sticks and a flap for a door.  Fun lesson!

Kindy students read Pezettino and created their own creature!

 Trash Truck Contest!

 So proud of Tommy and Madi for winning the GRAND PRIZE in the Trash Truck contest.  Their artwork will be on a trash truck in metro Nashville encouraging others to be environmental heroes!  Our school is so PROUD OF THEM!!!!!

The students met the Mayor of Nashville, Karl Dean, and money for their schools art program!  Their truck was the only truck that rode through the Nashville Christmas Parade!  What an honor!

I am an artist: Kindergarten!

We saw this lesson on Artsonia, I believe.  It is adorable.  The kindies make popsicle stick easels and real canvas to create this work of art!  We created the velcro board so the students can put it on and take it off in the correct spot while walking down the hallway.  

Kroger Bag Earth Day Art Lesson!

We are doing Earth Day bags in partnership with Kroger.  Our students decorate them for Earth  Day then we give them to Kroger and they distribute them on Earth Day!  Here are some in the process!  I will keep you updated on some of the finished ones!
